Multi position magnetic stirrers with or without heating refer to a series kind of stirrers or hotplate stirrers with multiple stirring functions in several designated positions of a plate which is without heating (stirrers only) or with heating function (hotplates stirrers). The multi stirring can be synchronous or individually set at different speed. However, the heating can only reach a set temperature across the entire plate. - Good control on the speed of stirring:
The stirring of each position is achieved by a DC motor. The motor is individually controlled by an individual controller through a feedback control mechanism. The speed always remains constant regardless of the volume, different types or shapes of container, and the property of the solution. The range of speed is from 100 rpm to 2000 rpm.
- Good heating performance:
The heating range is from ambient to 120°C, producing the solution temperature up to 80°C depending on the volume of solution and container size.
Using aluminum plate which has faster heating transfer rate and heating buffering capacity, the heating rate can reach 5 °C/min and give a good uniformity of the heating through PID control mechanism.
The beauty of the feature is that the plate temperature can be easily calibrated to desired set value. Users can do the simple calibration anytime if they would like to.
- Good safety features:
Overheat protection through a unique mechanism: when the PCB is malfunctioning, it automatically shuts off the heating function; when the sensor is broken, it will show the error message; when the heating could not be controlled, the heating will be shut off and show the error message.
Hot warning light when the plate temperature > 50°C
Chemical resistance coating applied on the surface of the stirrers (made of stainless steel) and heating plates (made of aluminum plate).
Good protection on the enclosure: a unique water dam is built to prevent water spills during operation, Protection class according to DIN EN 60529 is IP42.
